Our Man in Europe/dave delacroix/ "Aloha!"

Our Man in Europe/dave delacroix/ "Aloha!"

OK. I can't keep a secret. (S'posed to be MUMM-don't frickin care); part of my new new deal with being a TALK SHOW HOST on a detectice show thingy, based in Honolulu (Hawaii) was to go on a fact finding tour of said Pacific islands... There must have been a recent Tsunami 'cause the  place looked a wreck.. At the airport, instead of Hula Girls handing out floral garlands, we were crowned with plastic toilet seats. Fellow passengers were non-plussed, being Hollywood freebie-parasites, they took it in their stride till the tropically tee-shirt/over-weight Dan-Ho advised us that our first stop involved a relaxing hour at an exclusive club called "The Toilet Bowl.", then the anxiety thermometer thingy went to 6.9 on the Richter scale? Still; HollyWEEDS are usually good trampers: The Club (Toilet thingy) soon calmed our nerves.. HULA gals, Ukulele-Cheeseburger sized local Gabauchoes, Salsa, Cuba-libres, Hawaiian High-Life's, pineapple-thingies, (All free.)  Morgamous tits and Spam! Yet, alas,  I do NOT know who - out of the Detective Hollywood crowd, along for the ride and trying to steal my talk show job  DITCHED their Garland Toilet Seat first: Miss Marple, Sheer-luck Holmes, or Achilles Pwat! But SOME party Popper smashed his or her plastic toilet seat, and so ensued - "Tiny frickin' bubbles! - a Greek Wedding!
"Aloha!" and, "Aloha-Hollywood!"...:)

Our Man in Europe/dave delacroix/ "After the Earthquake..."

...After the earthquake, here in Sicily nobody gave a shrug. Traffic insults were yet intensified, Vespas wailed, knoxious, smart cars zipped at every opportunity and Sedans continued to navigate impossible turns on antique streets and crumbling alley ways with apparent ease? The STOCK MARKET may have took a "Muslim Dive" but hemlines stayed firm; one off shoulder tee-shirt, now two? Old bastards like MYSELF were looking for the left Tit expose, but upholstered blouses stayed firm. And like the Earthquake? Sadly:  It was a bust.

...After the Earthquake, here in Sicily, nothing changed. Culture simply excellerated...and to what end?

Our Man in Europe/dave delacroix/ "DA BIZNESS!"

Our Man in Europe/dave delacroix/ "The Business."

"....I got da business...with da Guiness, most every nite? If U wanna TALK to me, set your pocket book quite free, and do da business with the Guiness, with me?

Tell me your troubles, but don't go too deep, or loud and clear? Maybe later I'll advise U, then - oddly? - U'll have no fear?

There's NO business like the Guiness, your "troubles" ought to know? So drink the business, with da Guiness, and let everything go.

Our Man in Europe/dave delacroix/ "NO Country for Young Men."

Our Man in Europe/dave delacroix/ "No Country for Young Men."

(dedicato: Dave Adamson)

"DIS ain't no Country for Young Men? Who piss Guinness on Dublin's diamond streets and smile?
DIS ain't no Country for da YAHOOS, the Banjo-Blues, the Black and Tans, on a violin, Saturday night: MA -in hospital?
This ain't no BEULAH, no Rock & Roll move ya, no "Can't git up to GO!?" -cept to walk to the farm, pony-up, and let the Gallic wind blow?
...In a land of Poets, from Dublin town, cross County Clare's Atlantic shores: This ain't no Country for the young man.
And sweet Kathleen?... I believe she moved to London....?

Our Man in Europe/dave delacroix/ "Ecco-Bravo!"

(dedicato: Reese Mulligan, New York City Poet.)

Ecco-Bravo, this time, ecco-bravo, with wine, just when U think it's over - ecco-bravo - sunrise?

Ecco-bravo; your kiss? Your Cassava? Ecco-bravo?

Ecco-bravo, there goes Jesus, ecco-bravo, with Judas, ecco-bravo, no Justice in Paradisio or THIS world for You and YOU?

Ecco-bravo; it's Sunday: Ecco-Sunday. Ecco Sunday, please leave me alone: MARIA CALLAS sings solo!
Ecco-Bravo! Ecco-Bravo! ...this time.

Our Man in Europe/dave delacroix/"Saturday-Sunday Morning," (Revisited)

Our Man
in Europe/dave delacroix/ "Saturday Night-Sunday Morning," (Revisited)

INTO DA KERNAL
the Sperm
the Flax
the Flux
the Fuck
that bequeathes
U!?

Into the bucket
the pit
the FIX
the double
triple-helix-six
where Senor Diablo
swarms, with favor?

Into da EYE
of a glance
of a wick
to melt, like WAX
in your candles glow?

Into da kernal
the sperm
the flax
the flux,
DA FUCK
that bequeathes U?

And CAUGHT
like a fish in a net
U arrive.?

Our Man in Europe/dave delacroix/"These Foolish things."

Our Man in Europe/dave Delacroix/"These foolish things."

These foolish things, the things dat we embrace,  meet, greet, see, do yin/yang before our eyes! U would wish for "disguise" -  but not a hope! - 12 Bore Shotgun pellets RIDDLE, then some. Swiss Cheese!? And there's that? The oblique? And who's to tell the tale of these foolish things? The Supermarket Check-out boy?

Gotta QUESTION, babe? Me too. Several: For whom the bell tolls if not for thee? -that (dat) comes up a lot? That dream, inherent, of futility which festers   in ALL our blighted Souls, usually, on the cusp of a Saturday night, just exacly when the Inter-Net goes Off-line?

These foolish things which we both seek, illusive, contracted, eventually-divisive, catch-a-fire where we least expect and I DO expect U to disagree?

AGNES MOOREHEAD in the Movie: "CITIZEN KANE" says everything: "I only HAVE 28 dollars! I ONLY have 28 dollars!!!"

Alas: These foolish things, like the "Magnificent Ambersons",  belong to U and Me....
