Our Man in Europe/now Belize/Dave Delacroix: "BLING!"
..."MAKE IT LOVE, MAKE IT MINE< MAKE IT BLING!!!"
...We ain't asking for the whole world but sometimes, we do. And IF the Shoe fits wotchagonnaDO-frickin' Boogaloo! So why not JAZZ into that tropic/Calypso night? Make it LOVE, make it - drink up & BE somebody? - make it blue, make it Yours! Sing out loud!
The ZENITH of our Youth; nothing's impossible. Songs, riotously/Mucho-bravado sung (those were the Days!) in urban taverns now demolished in the name of progress & who R we to complain; our placards, street protests, slogans, thinking, somehow, we'd made our mark, but now - clearly - betrayed: All revolutions R usurped by thieves/CROOKS/murderers - out on a Weekend - who, just like in the Music BIZ, "crowded-house" with Mafiosi in designer rags who talk like Hippies.
("Cool Mahn!"): As for the disillusioned, dejected, morally un-seated, the MARCH FOR CHANGE, the lonely, the Critical Mass or just psychologically LAME who now hobble into an un-certain tomorrow, names whitewashed from history, certainly that one hit chart wonder pop song that even rocket scientists cannot figure out just why anyone paid it much attention: "Baby, Amah your Baby!"?
...So; maybe make it LOVE. A lion-rampant on your record label. Perchance, in your present dark corner were-in U WAX: Make it mine, make it YOURS despite where (ahah!) no birds or Angel's sing. But redecorate (?). Make it BLING! Today, in the Here & NOW, it's safe to say, alas WE - as individuals - have little or no Voice!
Cash registers/Credit Cards/money transfers going BLING! BLING! BLING!
The Good News? There a 12 pack of Guinness in my refrigerator with your name on it!
