Our Man in Europe/Belize, dave delacroix: "A Duet for One!"
1)...Nocturne.
...The SPHINX-like Rug-rats (2 Cats) standing sentinel by my passed-out corpse in the "swim-pool" under a moonless, tropic dark canopy, the Devils above singing eerie praises for All mortals below? And in the Order of all things, a singing ECHOES batting from the wings of noiseless birds who HARK (sing) a nocturne, a-bent, an exposure, the World's inner hide? An absent moon, regrets to fret, that darkling hour, that chilling-zone to CAP your soul, but never phone; I sing of Love, mostly fear, I sing that song year after year, that silent SPHINX, like my domestic "rug-rats", Tiger Cats who sentinel my gear.
2)...Jacob's ladder.
DEATH un-calling, NO-reservations, a "pastiche" upon your wall, a serpent kiss we all sometimes HISS, or that AXE still yet to fall? Inner horrors? And all the King's horses and all the King's men? -No repair! Death un-calling to shatter MIRRORS, grief in-splinter! -glass shards to puncture your soul; Kids confusion! Wives, Women WAILING, "officiates", Priests, Rabbis, Vicars & Popes...climbing their ladder to God? God-damned traffic GRIDLOCK!!!... Death un-calling, a resting gig awaiting. A sepulcher, a wooden cross, or wails from those U loved.
