Our Man in Europe/Belize, dave delacroix: "A high wind to Jamaica."
(dedicato: Sarah B. Solo)
There's a high wind to Jamaica, there's a devil in our heart that wrongs and THRONGS, there's a highway to devastation that nails a crucifix to a bedroom wall.
There's a high wind to Jamaica, a deceptive Calypso which lulls U into complacency, a THOUGHT, arrogant that knows it All; yesterday's bounty, todays crystal sheen, a tomorrow "Good Ol days!", the glory of an age?
There's a high wind to Jamaica; we're setting sail today. Got smokes. Got beer & rum. Got the Heart we kept to save. A Greek chorus. A Song of Songs. A Poets pen. That Gothic kiss upon a midnights breeze.
