Our Man in Europe, dave delacroix -in Mexico: The Cancun Mexico, No.36: "WOH-BABEE!"
THERE-S always a "WOH" in a Love song; that hit POP song-s definitive LYRICAL AFTER BURST. Without a "WOH!" or "WOH-BABEE!" it-s arguably NOT a Love song. "Scarborough Fair" or "Greensleeves" are exceptions but probably, in either case, in dire need of one, maybe 3?
"WOH!"...akin to "WHOA!" -S-what John Wayne says to his HORSE, or "WOE!" -famously recorded by the HUN-Barbarian Alleric who sacked Rome in BC-55 (before U were born); "WOE to the vanquished!" (No Prisoners.)...First known use of "Woh!" No CD survives.
HENCEFORTH it is my contention that ALLERIC or J. WAYNE-s implication BE employed by all future Rock-Star exponents in their renditions of the "WOH!" in their future songs so that we might get a HANDLE on just what, for example: "Do U know the way to San Jose, Woh-Woh-Woh-Woh-Woh-Woh-Woh!!" actually means?... "WOH!!!!!!"
