Our Man in Europe/ dave delacroix/ "All the Young Dudes."
"......All the young Dudes,
she sighs,
65 years and kickin'
a dozen or more lifestyle,
now folded, posted and stamped
or kicked to the road-side;
"I remember, I remember,"
she softly sings,
a Poet with a lullaby?
(Let her sing!)
She sez:
Some were lawyers.
Some Gigolos!
Some were in BIZ-NESS!
Some were Soldiers, killed in war;
Some were down-right
KALAMAZOO,
and some fat
some athletically LEAN;
all the young Dudes:
A Violin, a Mandolin;
your fathers and sons;
gone, gone, with the Wind?
"Now I sit, Dave?" -in interview
with Dave Delacroix,
and she chuckles, with SPIN
and WEAVE for eternity
in infinity....:
A tale told by an Idiot-Wanton;
-Don't mean much?
Kick Ass and ashes to ashes;
Red dress and blue sash?
"Whose to know HELL
or some sweet kiss?"
She speaks, breast heaving
"All the Young Dudes?"
"All those KIDS?
(Almost screaming:)
she sez "But I ... I was a sweet kid too...?"
