Our Man in Europe, dave Delacroix....A Union Soldier Boy.
*dedicato. Cynthia.
In the 1860-s, there-abouts, in the WAR of the...USA... Southern States, leftover battlefields, Appomatix, Manassas, 2 white dressed bonny daughters from a Virginia homestead, nearby, in their Love or Innocence, LAMENTED and prayed over a casualty of War. ...They found some Kid. Some Cannon-fodder. The body of a Negro-Union Soldier in his uniform. These TWO young GALS hitched up their DRAWERS And SKIRTS, dug a trench and after singing WE WILL MEET IN THE VALLEY, buried the UNknown Soldier-boy with full dignity.
*from the annals of....old book I found.... The War Of the Republic.
