he left so long ago
to find a job in Portugal or Spain?
Has anyone seen my JIULIO,
he swam across the Rio Grande
from Mexico to Texas-USA,
never to be seen again?
Has anyone seen my boy, Prince Aruba,
a good boy, in Italy, France or Austria?
They say it's cold there:
now I knit for him a warm sweater
to help him progress?
Has anyone seen my AHMED?
A kid just out of school
and with work to find?
People, Mothers, everywhere,
I hope,
I hope they will be kind?
